UNITIES AND DIVERSITY POLICY

Pantera Group Limited recognises the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to providing a working environment that is free from discrimination.

We will seek to promote the principles of equality and diversity in all our dealings with employees, workers, job applicants, clients, customers, suppliers, contractors, recruitment agencies and the public.

All employees and those who act on the Company’s behalf are required to adhere to this policy when undertaking their duties or when representing the Company in any other guise. A copy of this policy will be given upon appointment to all employees and displayed on noticed boards.

Unlawful Discrimination

Unlawful discrimination of any kind in the working environment will not be tolerated and the Company will take all necessary action to prevent its occurrence, as stated in the Equality Act 2010.

The Company will treat every individual fairly under the Protected Characteristics contained within the Act being Age, Disability, Gender Reassignment, Marriage or Civil Partnership (in employment only), Pregnancy or Maternity, Race, Religion or Belief, Sex or Sexual Orientation.

This commitment applies to all aspects of engagement, including;

Recruitment Selection

The Company actively promotes equality of opportunity for all candidates, including those with criminal records where appropriate. Any recruitment decision will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of the offence(s). The Company will discuss the relevance of any offence to the job in question.

Freedom of Association & Effective Right to Collaborative Bargaining

Pantera respects freedom of association and the effective right to collective bargaining. Workers have the right to form and join organisations of their own choosing and to leave them voluntarily and that there is a voluntary negotiation process between Pantera’s organisation and any workers’ organisation when required.

Workers are freely able to establish or join worker organisations of their own choosing. This means that workers can choose to join or form a union or create a worker’s representative group or committee without interference or intervention.

Pantera will negotiate with lawfully established workers’ organisations and their representatives in good faith and will make every effort to reach an agreement and conduct genuine and constructive negotiations where collective bargaining is entered into.

Pantera respects the full freedom of workers’ organisations to draw up their constitutions and rules and will not intervene or interfere in any way.

Pantera respects the rights of workers to engage in lawful activities relating to forming, joining or assisting a workers’ organisation. Pantera respects the rights of workers’ to choose not to organise. Pantera will protect workers from discriminatory activities such as firing or promotion.

Career Development

While positive measures may be taken to encourage under-represented groups to apply for employment opportunities, recruitment and promotion to all jobs will be based solely on merit. All employees will have equal access to training and other career-development opportunities appropriate to their experience and abilities.

However, the Company will take appropriate positive action measures (as permitted by equal opportunities legislation) to provide specialist training and support for groups that are underrepresented in the workforce and encourage them to take up training and career-development opportunities.

Complaints of Discrimination

The Company will treat seriously complaints of discrimination made by employees, clients, customers, suppliers, contractors or other third parties and will take action where appropriate.

Allegations regarding potential breaches of this policy will be treated in confidence and investigated thoroughly. If a person makes an allegation of discrimination, the Company is committed to ensuring that it protects them from victimization, harassment or less favorable treatment.
