MEET
PAUL HEALEY

Paul joined the Group in 2012 after a life long career in construction, civil engineering and housing both in the U.K. and overseas in Venezuela, Spain and Portugal. He started his career with John Laing plc, retired after 37 years, but only for 6 months before joining Ray O’Rourke at Laing O’Rourke to start and chair Explore Living, the Housebuilding company for the LOR Group.

After 8 years, Paul retired again before being approached by Pete Mills in 2012 to join Pantera Carpentry as Chairman. Paul’s role initially was to add a few grey hairs and plc experience to a company who had clear aspirations and determination to grow into a leading specialist subcontractor and more in the construction and Housebuilding industry. He has worked closely with Pete to achieve this goal. We have made huge progress over the past decade with further exciting plans for the future.

"Never having worked on the “other side of the fence” I have enjoyed every minute of my 10 years with the group, helping it grow from a small to a major player which has total respect in the industry. The attention to detail, training, leading initiatives in Health, Safety and the Environment as well as creating an atmosphere and culture where our team want to work, is a credit to the Executive team led by Pete.

The professional attitude displayed by the whole company is exemplary.

Oh, I forgot to mention the company’s approach to caring for the community, their charitable work and belief in all that we do.

That is why I enjoy my role so much"
